Why youll love these
- Easy. 15 minutes of prep makes these perfect for a quick and easy weeknight meal.
- Kid-friendly. What kid doesnt love pizza? Get them involved and let them be in charge of layering the pepperoni and sprinkling on the cheese.
- Perfect for parties. Whip up a few different sliders, throw together a quick dessert, put on the game, and youve got yourself a party!
- Customizable. Use YOUR favorite pizza toppings!
Ingredients
- Butter Sauce: Butter, Parmesan, Oregano, Basil, Garlic Powder, Salt, Red Pepper Flakes, and Pepper this mixture is spooned over the rolls which creates a golden, brown slightly crispy texture while also providing that classic pizza flavor. Salted or unsalted butter may be used. Feel free to play around with the spices (fresh or dried) to suit your tastebuds.
- Bread 1 (12 oz) package hawaiian rolls was used in the original recipe, but any small pull apart roll should be fine. I also think making these on garlic bread or Texas toast would be so fun!
- Cheese: Provolone and Mozzarella the best combination for classic pizza texture and flavor. Other cheeses such as an Italian blend, cheddar, gouda, goat cheese, gruyere, ricotta, blue cheese could be a fun addition as well.
- Pizza Sauce use your favorite store-bought jar or make homemade pizza sauce! Alfredo sauce and/or pesto would also be great. If youre from the Midwest, dont forget the Ranch for dipping or hot honey for dunking!
- Pepperoni use your favorite variety! I like a thicker pepperoni, because I like the chewy texture, but any kind, even turkey pepperoni will be great.

How to make
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls, layer the provolone, sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella, then spoon the butter sauce over the top.
- Bake in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish at 350 degrees F until the cheese is melty and the filling is hot, then slice, serve, and devour.
Variations
- Cheese Pizza. Ditch the pepperoni and double up on the cheeses!
- Veggie Pizza. Use fresh vegetables such as green peppers, onions, mushrooms, black olives, and tomatoes to replace the meat. If raw veggies arent your thing, give them a quick sauté with some oil, salt, and pepper.
- Supreme Pizza. Swap half the pepperoni for cooked sausage and add all the veggies from the veggie pizza variation.
- Meat Lovers. Use equal parts cooked bacon, crumbled sausage, and pepperoni for a truly hearty pizza.
